In this session, we'll workshop your materials for the NSF GRFP and discuss putting together the strongest application for this and related STEM awards more generally. Be prepared with 4 copies each of your statements.

With a mission to "ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and reinforces its diversity", the NSF GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support including an annual stipend of $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 to the institution. 2,500 awards will be made this year. If you're applying for graduate school this year, you should put together an application.

There are two dates for this workshop. You can attend one or both.
